On Saturday we went down to Seward and took a whale tour boat. We ventured south out of Resurrection Bay, then east around Rugged and Barwell Island (WWII outpost, and back up the Eldorado Narrows back to Seward. It was about four hours of a perfect bluebird day which is somewhat unheard of. All total, for a 12 hour day trip we saw:
2 moose
2 humpback whales
1 coyote
2 snowshoe hares
a bunch of sea lions
a bunch of dall porpoises
4 or 5 hairy legged dall sheep
1 chipmunk
bunch of eagles
and a two-hook-handed sea captain. Salty.
