October 10, 2009

First week of work down.
It's nice that Fridays have meaning once again. The week started with a first morning meeting with the boss where he let me know I would be in charge of a couple of people. That's cool I guess, but I feel a little weird knowing less than those under me...but then again, isn't that the true qualities of any boss? ;)

The boys are warming up nicely to their school and neighborhood. Bryer has about 15 friends and informas us of new ones every day. Tavyrn is warming up to his classmates, which is about right on par for his personality.

Marcie finally got up the courage to get her teaching documentation together and submit it to the school district. It took them all of 10 hours to contact her for an interview...she interviews on Tuesday. She knows she wants to teach 2nd grade, and preferrably art, but the likelihood of that specific job is nill. We're not really sure what we want at the moment...work in Eagle River or Anchorage? where are we living next year?

We'll let you know what happens later this week.

Tavyrn got a clarinet this week since he has joined band...HA! He got a green one...of course the only colored instrument in the entire band ensemble. Nothing like standing out as the new kid. Wedon't know what Bryer will end up doing, nor do we know his options at this point.

All for now.

Glad the boys are adjusting. I see the beautiful pics of your new town and it's all I can do to stay in SLC one more minute. Think they need nurses in Alaska? Updates are great!

Another week has passed. It's time for an update. Marcie had her interview - what was the result? How many new friends and/or instruments came home this week? How did you list of charges stack up? What about duties, has the list grown longer? We're cutting dead trees this weekend. What to help?
